Jay Z Tried to Stop Blue Ivy from Bidding $19,000 on a Piece of Art and Twitter Can't Deal

Last night, the Carter family attended the Wearable Art Gala in Los Angeles. Beyoncé and Blue Ivy were twinning in gorgeous gold dresses and headpieces.

The only thing more epic than Bey's train was the moment Blue Ivy stole the show at the event's auction.

In a clip that has (understandably) gone viral, Blue jumped in on an art auction hosted by Star Jones, all while Jay Z playfully tried (and failed) to stop her from bidding tens of thousands of dollars.

Twitter could not deal with how adorable (and ridiculously opulent) the whole situation was.

Kim Kardashian's concealer line disappoints fans for lack of inclusivity: 'It's disrespectful'

Kim Kardashian's concealer line disappoints fans for lack of inclusivity: 'It's disrespectful'

After being blessed by Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty 40-shade foundation just a few months ago, people aren’t happy with the limited variety of shades offered in Kim Kardashian‘s latest KKW Beauty product. Because it’s offering only 16 shades — with the vast majority appearing to be for light skin tones — the internet was quick to call out Mrs. West for lacking inclusivity in her makeup line’s concealer kits.

The media mogul took to her social media accounts to announce her new concealer line on Friday.  The product is set to hit virtual shelves on March 23 but already has disappointed her followers on Twitter and Instagram.

Some even suggested she should take notes from little sister and new mom Kylie Jenner — her line features 30 different shades.

The campaign for the concealer did include a refreshing variety of models of different sizes, ages and complexions.

But many questioned even if the models with dark skin were, in fact, using the product advertised.

Kardashian and KKW Beauty have yet to address the comments on social media, but she did share a photo of newborn Chicago West today.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Wedding Officiant Gets Candid About Their Big Day

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Wedding Officiant Gets Candid About Their Big Day

It seems like the entire world is excited about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding, but there's one person that has a unique perspective, and that's the officiant.
The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, has spoken out about the forthcoming royal wedding in a new interview with ITV News.
When it comes to the royal wedding, which will be broadcast live around the world, the Archbishop revealed, "Unlike recent weddings, I must not drop the ring, and I must not forget to get the vows in the right order as I did at the rehearsal for one of my children’s weddings!" Clearly, the nerves have started already.

As well as conducting their nuptials, Welby was also responsible for baptizing Markle into the Church of England. Of the ceremony, he told ITV News (via People), "It was very special. It was beautiful and sincere and very moving. It was a great privilege."
Welby spoke at length about Prince Harry's relationship with Markle, and the strong commitment the pair has for one another. He revealed, "You know, at the heart of it, is two people, who have fallen in love with each other, who are committing their lives to each other with the most beautiful words and profound thoughts, who do it in the presence of God."
The royal wedding is set to take place on May 19, 2018, at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle. According to a spokesperson at Kensington Palace, Prince Harry and his fiancée "want the day to be shaped so as to allow members of the public to feel part of the celebrations too and are currently working through ideas for how this might be achieved."

Kylie Jenner Is Taking Some Precautions To Keep Baby Stormi Safe

Kylie Jenner Is Taking Some Precautions To Keep Baby Stormi Safe

It's full-on baby fever for the Kardashian-Jenner clan. With this past weekend's lavish all-pink baby shower to celebrate soon-to-be mom Khloé, Kim (possibly) considering baby number four, and Kylie caring for seven-week-old baby Stormi—the famous sisters currently have their hands (and diaper bags) full.
It theredore makes sense that Kylie Jenner is taking some extra precautions to keep baby Stormi safe and healthy amongst all her family chaos.
The 20-year-old is allowing her most trusted friends and loved ones to meet her new baby girl, but only under some strict conditions.

A source close to Jenner revealed to Us Weekly that the new mom is "a germaphobe," and therefore, is laying down rules for who gets an up-close moment with her newborn and where the visit will happen.
“You have to go to her house to visit,” the insider told the site. “She’s being very careful about keeping the baby healthy and indoors.”
Us Weekly further reports that Jenner "maintains a very strict guest list," meaning that for now, it's likely that only very close friends and family members will be invited to meet Stormi in her fully decked-out butterfly-printed nursery at Jenner's home in Hidden Hills, California.

However, we do have photo and video evidence of Jenner sharing her bundle of joy with a few doting loved ones.
Jenner recently posted a photo of her grandmother, MJ, cradling a swaddled Stormi.

And to be expected, the Life of Kylie star recently gave best friend, Jordyn Woods, a one-on-one intro with her new addition. Jenner shared a Snapchat video of Woods rocking a sleepy baby Stormi, captioning the clip, "Can they get any cuter?"

One thing's for sure, from where we're sitting (albeit, behind a screen), baby Stormi truly could not get any cuter.

People Think the Queen Shaded Meghan Markle in Her Wedding Announcement - But She Didn't

People Think the Queen Shaded Meghan Markle in Her Wedding Announcement

Yesterday, the Queen announced her official consent of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's upcoming marriage in a letter to the Privy Council. Her Majesty's approval is great news for the engaged couple (and fans rooting for them), but some people questioned the differences between her letter for Markle and Harry and the one she penned for Kate Middleton and Prince William.
In Harry and Meghan's letter, the Queen refers to the bride-to-be only as her full name, Rachel Meghan Markle. But in William and Kate's letter, which she penned in 2011, the Queen calls the bride "our trusty and well-beloved Catherine Elizabeth Middleton."

Yes, the difference in word choice is obvious, but no, the Queen did not intentionally disrespect Markle. Hello! confirms that Her Majesty also only referred to Middleton as "trusty and well-beloved" in the official Instrument of Consent—the formal notice of her approval, which is written in calligraphy, framed, sealed with the Great Seal of the Realm, and signed by the Queen in the right hand corner. This fully-packaged decree wasn't released until a week before William and Kate's wedding on April 29, 2011.
Harry and Meghan's Instrument of Consent hasn't been issued just yet. They'll receive theirs closer to their nuptials on May 19.

Hello! adds that when Queen declared William and Kate's wedding to the Privy Council (like she did for Harry and Meghan yesterday), she also simply referred to Middleton as her name: "I declare My Consent to a Contract of Matrimony between My Most Dearly Beloved Grandson Prince William Arthur Philip Louis of Wales and Catherine Elizabeth Middleton."
The queen's written approvals were done in observance of the Royal Marriages Act of 1772, which legally requires all direct descendants of King George II obtain the sovereign’s consent in marriage, otherwise the union is invalid, The Telegraph reports.

So everyone can relax: no royal drama to see here. In fact, it seems Meghan and the Queen have forged a friendly relationship. She and Harry reportedly had an "intimate" lunch with Her Majesty on Sunday, Mother's Day, ahead of their first official engagement together, ABC reports.
Markle also had flattering words to share about the sovereign in her first interview with Prince Harry in November. "It’s incredible," she said. "I think, to be able to meet her through his lens, not just with his honor and respect for her as the monarch, but the love he has for her as his grandmother. All of those layers have been so important for me so when I met her I had such a deep understanding, and of course incredible respect for being able to have that time with her, and she’s an incredible woman."

What to Ask Your Contractor Before Starting a Kitchen Remodel

What to Ask Your Contractor Before Starting a Kitchen Remodel

Kitchens can be the most expensive and complicated room to renovate in your home—an average project costs upward of $20,000 and takes around eight weeks to complete—so treat your search for the right contractor like a job interview. We asked Stephen Fanuka, host of Million Dollar Contractor on the DIY Network and HGTV, to share the top seven questions you should ask before you decide who will be in charge.

1. Are you licensed and insured?
Contact your state’s consumer affairs department or local government to check if the contractor you’re considering is properly licensed—and if there have been any recent complaints about his or her work, says Fanuka. Ask for a copy of the certificate of insurance, which should list you as “additionally insured,” in case the policy expires in the midst of the renovation.
2. Can you draw up a detailed proposal and an American Institute of Architects contract?
First comes first: Make sure you have a dated blueprint of your desired kitchen design, drawn up by an architect, to bring along to preliminary meetings. Then, “get everything in writing,” says Fanuka. That includes an itemized list of labor and materials, with prices, from carpentry to electrical work; who is responsible for obtaining permits and scheduling inspections; what the penalty will be if the job is not completed on time; and agreements to put change orders (proposals for extras later on) in writing and to withhold 10 percent of the contract price until any final corrections take place.

The Barefoot Contessa, Food Network star Ina Garten, just purchased this Upper East Side stunner from another domestically minded woman—Nancy Novogrod, former editor in chief of House & Garden and Travel + Leisure magazines, reports StreetEasy. A major selling point, we’re sure, was the recently renovated kitchen, where Garten can dream up dishes for future dinner parties. Located on Manhattan’s Park Avenue, the home was built in 1910 and is a short walk to Central Park. And the kitchen isn’t the only room that wows. The 2,450-square-foot apartment features a beautiful corner library with a fireplace and built-in shelving lining nearly every wall—more than enough space to store a robust cookbook collection. How chic is that?
The cozy library also includes a work area.

The desire for a cool pair of kicks isn’t gender exclusive, contrary to what male-dominated sneaker culture might lead you to believe. Yet female sneakerheads traditionally haven’t had as many options as men do. Nike is on a mission to change all that: Last year, the brand tapped the International Girl Crew—a group of designers and influencers that includes model Paloma Elsesser and WAH Nails founder Sharmadean Reid—to reenvision the company’s retro Cortez style. The shoe went on sale in August and was available in three color options.

Now an all-female team of 14 designers, hailing from nine different countries, has created the 1 Reimagined lineup. The collection— 10 variations on Nike’s classic Air Force 1 and Air Jordan silhouettes—features high-fashion details, like corset lacing and velvet lining. All 10 come in a proprietary off-white shade to emphasize the design elements. For Julie Igarashi, vice president and creative director of Nike Women, the question was “How do you take these icons within sneaker culture and reimagine them for a style chameleon?” She pictures the customer as a Fashion Week denizen, though the styles work just as well for WNBA star Kelsey Plum (seen here with some of the designers). “We obsess over the performance needs of the athlete,” Igarashi says, “whether that’s someone playing on the NBA court or somebody who is on her feet for 10 hours on end.”

Choosing London as their HQ, the women had five short weeks to complete the project. “We bonded pretty quickly,” says Georgina James, Nike’s senior creative director of women’s footwear. “We created a set of rules to work by: ‘Stay chill; be honest; leave your egos at the door; have fun.’” (Solid tenets for any workplace.) Though the process was lightning fast, James notes, “That didn’t mean working 24/7.” They people-watched for inspiration, explored the city’s galleries, and bonded over dinner, wine, and pedicures in their off-hours. The crew has been in an ongoing group text ever since.
True to their on-court origins, the shoes are even better in motion, says Nike’s materials design director, Marie Crow. She points to the backless Lover AF1 style as an example: “Underneath the perforation, there’s a metallic layer. And when you move, you see a spark.” Jumpman? More like Jumpwoman.

Selena Gomez Is Now Designing Clothes for Coach, Too

Selena Gomez Is Now Designing Clothes for Coach, Too

Selena Gomez is now a ready-to-wear designer for Coach. The fashion house and Gomez just announced their upcoming fall 2018 Selena Gomez x Coach collaboration, which will include outerwear, clothes, handbags, small leather goods and other accessories, per Coach's press release. "Fam, my second collection for @coach is going to include clothes!" Gomez wrote herself on Instagram last night, stressing the RTW part of the news. "So grateful I got to work on this with @stuartvevers. Can’t wait to show you this fall."

Gomez is creating the pieces with the house's creative director, Stuart Vevers, and has incorporated her own personal style into the pieces. Each item "is imbued with unique touches that speak to Ms. Gomez’s unapologetically confident and powerful feminine spirit," Coach wrote in it press release.
What that translates to, from the first preview of the line teased in Gomez's Insta, is lace and pastels. Pretty!
Gomez previously created accessories for the line, including its Selena Grace handbag that Gomez herself carried frequently throughout the fall.

“I always look forward to designing with Selena because she has a strong point of view,” Vevers said. “We wanted to bring cool new ideas to the table and I loved getting her take on clothes as much as accessories this time around.”
At least one notable someone is excited about the line: Pattie Mallette, Justin Bieber's mother, both commented and liked Gomez's announcement post. While Gomez and Bieber are reportedly on a (very temporary) break right now, Us Weekly stressed in a new report that Bieber's family loves Gomez. Clearly :

Zooey Deschanel Will Play Belle in a Live Beauty and the Beast

There are a whole lot of upcoming live-action Disney movies to get excited about—hi, Lion King. But this spring, there is an actual live Beauty and the Beast performance happening in Hollywood, with Zooey Deschanel taking on the role of Belle.
Over two evenings at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles—Friday, May 25 and Saturday, May 26—the original animated movie will be played on a huge screen, accompanied by a full orchestra and with an all-star cast of performers singing the songs. In addition to Deschanel, the cast includes Kelsey Grammar as Lumiere, Taye Diggs as Gaston, Rebel Wilson as LeFou, Jane Krakowski as Mrs. Potts, and Anthony Evans as Beast. Evans will sing 'Evermore', the song which was written for last year's live-action movie version.
Two years ago, The Little Mermaid was celebrated with the same kind of live-to-movie performance at the Hollywood Bowl, and that production's director Richard Kraft is returning to the helm again.
"The Little Mermaid at the Hollywood Bowl was an amazing and unforgettable event," said legendary Disney composer Alan Menken in a statement. "Now Beauty and the Beast at the Bowl is coming, with an extraordinary cast and a world class orchestra. I am beyond excited to be a part of what will be another fantastic evening."
The evening will also involve "breathtaking living scenery" which will be projected onto the iconic Hollywood Bowl facade, to create a truly immersive Beauty and the Beast experience. If all this sounds like your jam, tickets go on sale Friday, March 16 at 10 A.M. PST.

Jenna Lyons Is Selling Her Clothes on the Internet

Jenna Lyons Is Selling Her Clothes on the Internet

As the former president and creative director of J. Crew and living embodiment of the J.Crew woman, Jenna Lyons cultivated a trademark style that pairs the brand's preppy aesthetic with bold prints and vibrant colors. Leopard and seersucker! Pink lipstick and houndstooth!
Lyons left her post at J. Crew in April of last year. She'd been with the company for a staggering 27 years. After all those years she'd amassed quite the closet. And now she's parting with some of her most treasured pieces—a mix of J.Crew classics and designer wares—on the fashion industry's favorite resale site, TheRealReal.
"I have lived and breathed clothes for the past 31 years," Lyons said of the clothes she's selling. "Four of them in college, 27 with J.Crew and Madewell. I love clothes. I’ve collected for years."
Still, it was time to part with them.
"Each piece represents a memory, an event marked," she continued. "I found myself holding on to the clothes for the meaning and not spending enough time actually wearing them. My body has changed 😩, my mind has changed, and it seemed that this was a good time in my life as I think about next steps—to let someone else love them."
That and her closet was just due for a serious clean out. "And then there is the simple fact that my dear friend Sarah Clary came over, opened her eyes wide and burst into hysterical laughter," Lyons says. "Then she muttered 'Gurrrrrrl , you got to sell some of this shit.' Thanks Sarah. I love you so much." That's a good friend.
